Cool Music: Stream tunesBag.com tunes & playlists to boxee (+ 200 invitation codes)

    Hi there -

We're happy to announce that we've added support for boxee to tunesBag.com. tunesBag (http://tunesBag.com/) is an online music hub where you can upload your tunes and playlists in various formats and access them anywhere and anytime (including on the iPhone).

Using this new service you're able to stream your tunes collection right to your TV set browsing around using your remote control without the need of having the music stored on your mediacenter device. tunesBag offers sharing features as well, so you're able to listen to playlists of friends.

Interested in some screenshots? Click here (or take a look at the attached images):

We've prepared a short video demonstration:

As tunesBag is still in closed beta, you'll need an invitation code to create an account:

Use this link to create an account:
    http://tunesBag.com/i/kw/?boxee

(or use the keyword BOXEE on signup)

The invitation code is good for 200 accounts, so be quick!

You can find the setup instructions for boxee here:

In case you've any feedback, please use our feedback form @ http://feedback.tunesBag.com/

Question: Legal in Austria per your site... Legal elsewhere? Implications? For your org / others? Pls advise :-)

No, that's a basic "feature" of the current implementation and will be fixed in the next release.

Yes, we're working on a Desktop Client like we already have for Windows with native support for iTunes, Drag & Drop uploads etc.

tunesBag is operating from Vienna, Austria so we're offering our service under the Austrian jurisdication which is quite friendly when it comes to so called "private copies" (in case you're using tunesBag for sharing with friends).

We're still in closed beta because we're ironing out as much of the legal stuff before going live. As you might have seen, sharing playlists with everyone without registration is the #1 wish of our users (http://feedback.tunesbag.com/) - but we're not providing this feature in order to protect our users and ourselves.

In a nutshell: tunesBag's claim is to be a legal service and we're still in closed beta in order to finish our talks with the rightholders with an attractive result for our customers (features available when it comes to sharing) and our company.
