    Default Custom repository issues

    Hi everyone,

New to Boxee development and I'm sure that this is user error somewhere, but I can't get my custom repository working. I get the error message, "could not get repository information" on the Boxee when added a repository.

I've seen other posters on the forums with similar problems, but haven't been able to find a solution.

My repo is at boxee-repo.ei2.ca, and I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction.

    Thanks,

Does your repository.xml have a blank line at the end of it? If not, add one.

It does I saw that post. I added a blank line to both the repository and index XML files

    mayby this on
    <thumb />
    replace it with
    <thumb></thumb>
in both files, index.xml and repository.xml.
in our german boxee-forum someone say to me that in the repository.xml it is a must that <thumb>http://...</thumb> is given.
he did the same like you and had the same problems.

    i don't understand your description.xml.
in index.xml you write that your app is html, in the descriptor.xml you have rss.
when you have html you had no <url></url> and <controller></controller>

i think for you it is better to read the documentation on Developer Site

Adding information to the <thumb> declaration in both the index and repository files did the trick. I can see the repo now. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the heads-up about the <type> settings. I was messing around so much trying to figure out what the heck was going on I must have switched it.
