Home insurance might cover what you lost. Depending on the deductible you'd have to pay it may be a good route to go to replace your stuff.
I lost a guitar amp, a computer and a fridge when lightening struck the close line reel on my house. Insurance covered it but there was a $500 deductible. In my case it worth paying $500 to replace the stuff as it would cost more to replace it out of pocket.

+1 on the home owners/renters insurance. Almost any policy will cover this kind of incident. Check all the electronics in your home carefully, an if the total replacement it more than your deductible, call them.
