    Default Replacing wireless card

My wireless card in my boxee died today. It connects then drops about about 50 seconds later. Hard reset didn't fix it.

Any idea what I need to do to replace it, or where I buy a replacement from. Its out of warranty.

Unless you can get the same chip I doubt you could replace it as only the driver for that chip is present, might be a whole lot easier to get an ethernet to wireless bridge which you can always re-use for other devices too. Alternatively get some homeplugs and use those instead of wireless.

Yeah i also can't help you in replacing the wireless card but it would be better if you purchase a high performance wireless bridge and connect that to the ethernet port on the Boxee.

Why not get some powerline ethernet adapters? Much better than wifi and no need to fool around with wifi passwords, which can be quite tedious using the boxee remote. You can usually find a pair on sale for $50 or so at NCIX or Newegg. I used these on my Boxee and they were great. I now use it on my XBMC box since I sold my boxee. Wifi is for the birds.

Wifi vs powerline really depends on the local (mostly physical/electrical) environment, it's impossible to make a universal case for either. If the op was satisfied with the previous performance over wifi, then chances are the same will be true for a wifi bridge.
