Default Wired NFS streaming from NAS

Last month I bought my new Boxee Box because my AC Ryan was too limited.
So far I love all the apps and possibilities that Boxee has.

I have however 1 problems that I can't seem to solve on my own.
    My setup:
    Synology DS211 NAS
Boxee Box at my bedroom with an 1Gb/s networkcable to my NAS.

    Problem:
When Streaming over NFS the buffering bar appears at least every 2 minutes and the movie hangs during that period. Ofcourse im streaming lost of data, about 15Gb per movie. Still it shoudlnt happen. I didn't change anything on my NAS and when I used my AC Ryan there werent any problems.

    Weird thing:
When using Smb, I have no problems at all, even the bigger movies. This while NFS should reach better performance.

I want to have the NFS fixes. I rather not use SMB since I don't want to fill in my username and pw to my NAS although it only has to typed in once.

Why this isnt working while it does work on the AC Ryan? Anyone else experiencing the smae problem or had this problem before?

I use a DS1511 via NFS with my Boxee with no problems, but had lots of issues with SMB. Initially I connected via DEVICENAME when attaching the NAS, ie DISKSTATION, but it was still clunky, but when I deleted source and reattched via the IP address, the problems all went away. Delete your source, reboot, attach source again via IP address using NFS. Mine has been rock solid since I changed to NFS.

Do this and you wont have to type in username and password for samba
    * Log in to Synology Disk Station Manager.
    * Go to Control Panel->User.
    * Select guest account and click on edit.
    * Deselect the box that says "disable this account" & click ok.
    * Now go to Control Panel->Shared Folder.
    * Select target folder (e.g video) and click on "Privileges Setup".
    * Local Users should be selected
    * For the guest user account tick the boxes for read only or read/write privileges.

Yes some have had problems with NFS from a Synology and Boxee. In my particular case- connecting the Boxee to the router and the Syno to the switch resolved the issue, connecting both from a switch was a buffering mess. Others haven't been so lucky. Believe it has to do with Boxee using nfsv1 and udp. You'll find references to similar issues in this forum.
