    Exclamation Spotify App audio stutters

I have a premium account with Spotify - installed the app but unfortunately there are audio stutters all the time - I am using a toslink audio connection from the Boxee Box to the AV-Receiver.

Is this related to the software / SDK problem (also causing HD audio dropouts) or is this a spotify app problem?

(the boxee box is connected via LAN and there are no stuttering problems on streaming anything else like youtube videos etc.)

I take it by "connected via LAN" you mean via wired? (all your devices are connected via your LAN but they can be connected to your LAN via wired or wireless).

How long before Spotify starts stuttering for you?
Do you navigate away from the Spotify app?
Are you using the default visualizer when using Spotify?

What scanning frequency are you using for your local sources?

(My best guess is that some other activity is going on that causes Box to interrupt the stream. Myself, I have used Spotify for hours at a time and not gotten any dropouts. I also navigate out of the app to a network folder of images and "play" those as a slide show)

    Thank you for your feedback!
Yes Boxee Box is directly connected to the ISP modem (which has an internet bandwidth of 100Mbit/s)

    > How long before Spotify starts stuttering for you?
    > Do you navigate away from the Spotify app?
First everything is perfect ... I normally remain in the app .... but also when I navigate away there is no stutter ... over various songs.
Then the screen saver starts when I don't interact for a minute ... sound is still fine ... but(!) suddenly then stutter comes and no matter what song I choose it remains.

    > Are you using the default visualizer when using Spotify?
I think so, where can I check that?

    > What scanning frequency are you using for your local sources?

I haven't added any sources yet - just plugged a USB drive on Boxee.

btw: do you know how to "fast forward" within a song in the Spotify app?

I would disable the screensaver and see if that helps.

You can skip to the next or previous track in the app itself.

To seek through a track you have to bring the Boxee media player (after a song starts in Spotify) by navigating to the top right part of the screen and selecting the full screen button (to the left of the prev button).

The controls at the bottom of the screen allow for seeking within the track.

The stuttering occured right after 2 songs ... And the bad thing As Zoon As it happens once it stays. So it already happened before the screensaver startet (so Tuning it off did't work also).
    Any other idea?

Spotify streaming has been erratic for many even with the desktop app lately, so it could just be a problem in their end.

Ah ok. Though I don't Experience any Problems at all via desktop or the iOS mobile app. This Bug is highly annoying As I intend to use Spotify a Lot on Boxee.
    I also filed a bug in Jira - http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-12950

Does anybody know of another idea how to avoid this bug or a workaround?

If it's a problem with Spotify (per the post above "so it could just be a problem on their end") there's nothing to do but wait until they fix it on their end.

Ok, especially when I do a search for a song and try to start streaming them.
Did other users experience the problem too?
Is there already a feedback from the guys at Spotify responsible for the Boxee app?
