NFO file creation help

I'm trying to get boxee to identify the movie "2012".

I've read that I create an NFO file using Notepad in windows but save it as .nfo with the same title as the movie ie 2012 (2009).nfo

I've done this & put the URL for IMDb in ie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1190080/ as I read that would work, but it doesn't.

I can see the .nfo file on the nas, I am using UPnP to access,

uPnP is likely the culprit. Change to SMB or NFS.
