Live TV missing cable channels

My HDTV has been directly plugged into the wall via coax cable (Cox Cable in Phoenix)... I don't have an extra cable box on this TV because it costs more and I was getting all the channels I want.

So I just got my Boxee Box Live TV and when I plug in my coax cable and set Boxee up to scan "cable", I lose a whole slew of channels. It seems like only the decimal stations are showing up (sorry for not knowing what that's called, total newbie here!). So for instance I was getting both local channels 15 and 15.1 on my TV, but only 15.1 shows up on the Live TV.

Because of this I lose many of the stations I watch (e.g. Comedy Central is 51, not picked up on the Boxee scan).

How can I set the Live TV up so it gets all the channels I can get when I just plug my cable straight into the TV?

*BTW this is when boxee scans "cable"... if I set it to scan "antenna", it doesn't get any channels.

The channels the TV tuner isn't picking up are the analog channels.

The tuner only works with digital cable channels (unencrypted or "clear" QAM signals).

You use "antenna" when you want to scan for over the air digital tv stations via an antenna connected to the tuner.
