Custom Home Menu Shortcuts

I would love to be able to edit the icons on my home screen.
Where the home menu says "FRIENDS, WATCH LATER, SHOWS, MOVIES, APPS, FILES, WEB"
I would like to treat it more like a dock and be able to add in my own shortcuts to a favorite app, web page, etc...
I would love to be able to add a network file location to my home screen. or maybe one of my favorite Apps like Pandora.

I know that it is important to keep the main shortcuts on your home screen like "FRIENDS, WATCH LATER, SHOWS, MOVIES, APPS, FILES, WEB" - so maybe a good solution to that would be to to make that bar scrollable.
To where all the original icons are on the first page - but when you hit right on the remote, it gives you 6 custom icons you're user has setup.

I love my boxee and am excited to see what amazing things are to come!
