Default Sony Bravia 40NX72 - 3d ISO file & 3d MKV file problem

    Hi to everyone,

I've just bought the Sony Bravia 40NX72, with a Boxee box connected to a QNAP that streams (via SMB) the file to the Boxee.

With all the mkv file, there're no problem, but if I put a ISO file (3d) or a mkv file (3d ripped) into the same folder, the output is not good.

I try to tell what is the problem:

If I change the view mode in Side-by-side, the output is not clear, it seems that is 2 images not completely clear, there's a difference, so it's not viewable!

I've got the problem, with both formats file....

My tv support the 3d of course, cause if I use SAT channel, i correctly see the 3d images.

With boxee, i've got lot of problem.

    Can somebody help me?

If you see two images that sounds like ghosting which is usually the fault of the TV. Did you set the 3D mode to SBS in the settings/general/display of Boxee ?

There's nothing unique about SBS video it's not even "real" 3D video just a regular video file same as a non-3D video.

The 3D format used by Blu-ray's (H.264 MVC) is not supported by the Boxee Box.

    Yep,

i've already set the settings in the boxee conf....

So there's a way to see iso file or 3d file without boxee, at this time?
I'm using boxee to bypass the problem that TV doesn't support NTFS, so the only way I thought is to use a "player" that stream the video....

    Many thanks for your support!

The Boxee Box will never support Blu-ray 3D as it requires a hardware upgrade, for that to you'd be looking at a Boxee Box 2 whenever they come out.

Try turning on game mode for that input on the TV, that usually turns off various post processing effects by the TV, it should lower the response time and might eliminate some of the ghosting your seeing, that's my best guess.

It sounds like the setting you usually get on the TV which allows you to sync up the 2 images. I had this on mine and had to change it slightly. It may be working for you on SAT channel as the settings may be different for each HDMI input. Have a look and see if you can find anything. I've watched a number of SBS 3D mkv movies from BB and they've been great.

    Running Boxee Box firmware: 1.5.1.23735

Try changing the overscan to 0% in Settings->General->Screen format & overscan

I hope to solve all my troubles with this Conf.

You've changed something on the BB concerning configuration? There's a settings about 3D, actually in my configuration is disabled.
