Connections to old TV and Infocus projector
Hi, I am thinking of getting a Boxee Box but just unsure of how I connect it to my TV & projector.
I have an Infocus SP5700 projector with a component cable routed in the ceiling from a 4 way switch box to manage devices outputting to the projector (I have consoles, DVD surround system, and PVR connctions in here too to the projector).
The manual says it will accept HDTV via component, VESA or DVI so am I right in assuming if I have a HDMI to Component cable, that it will accept the digital siganl?
My other question is how do I connect it to the old (5yrs) Sony Trinitron (I know it was one of the last CRT TV's but what a bargain it was) which has the usual Scart, S-video inputs. I was thinking an HDMI to Component converter to send the signal to both TV & projector but seems a shame not to us ethe HDTV capabilty of the projector.
Any thoughts??
Thanks
