Default Is there really no way to access the Boxee Database on a Boxee Box?

I am importing my movie collection into boxee (~ 600 movies). I have watched at least 500+ of them and would like to be able to mass mark them as watched, so that I can easily filter the collection on the screen to watched or not watched movies. I don't see any way of doing this, however, other than being able to modify the D/B directly.

My suggestions to Boxee to fix this:

    1. Allow users who keep their Watched and Not Watched content in separate folders/shares to mark the share at the time of import into Boxee as being either made up of Watched content or Not Watched content. This is probably the easiest fix for Boxee to make, but also the least useful. Don't get me wrong, it would still be light years ahead of what we apparently have now, but not as good as the two below.

    2. Look for (and correspondingly set) a flag in the NFO file that specifies whether that item has been watched or not. This would allow 3rd-party solutions such as EMM to be able to mass-configure this criteria. It would also mean that the Watched/Not Watched selection would survive a firmware upgrade and complete rebuild of the Boxee D/B. This is the 95% solution that I think most users would be happy with.

    3. Allow SQLite access to the Boxee Box D/B. This is probably the hardest and yet the most satisfying of solutions. It not only would solve this problem, but it would also allow the 3rd-party world to integrate all kinds of functionality in additional code that would make Boxee that much more useful to end-users going forward.

    What does everyone else think?

I am not sure how a post like this goes months and months with no responses? This is also one of the most frustrating aspects of Boxee Box. I have over 1200 movies with a sizeable portion watched. It seems odd that there is no way either via .nfo or web access to the 'watched' database to mark all the movies as watched. What good is the menu on the left hand side that filters by unwatched if after a firmware update the 'watched' history is removed, during import of a large movie collection no way to easily set as 'watched', or provide users with a web interface to mass select watched/unwatched.

Currently you have to select each movie with the remote, set it to watched, back out, go to the next movie, rinse lather and repeat. It would take 6 hours for me to go through my collection and update all of them.

It also seems like firmware updates come out really, really slow... surely since the beginning of the year the development team has been working on features, bugs, enhancements etc....

Just my two cents but having the ability to set a movie/TV collection to watched or unwatched /easily/ is a major disappointment.
