    Default tvshow.nfo <thumb> tag problem

I'm trying to display the cover of a tv show using the <thumb> tag in the tvshow.nfo file. tvshow.nfo is located in the tv series' folder and so is the cover .jpg file.
    I'm using this:
    <thumb>afp://Aquarium.local/1TB USB3.0/2. Serialised Shows/15 Storeys High/15 Storeys High.jpg</thumb>

I have the files shared through an Airport Extreme.
"afp://Aquarium.local/1TB USB3.0/2. Serialised Shows/" is the path displayed in Boxee Box for the folder I have selected it to scan, and "/15 Storeys High/15 Storeys High.jpg" is the sub folder with the show and file.

Is there anything wrong with this? It doesn't display the cover.

Anyone know how to sort it? I checked the guides for displaying <thumb> but mostly just says use the full path which that is

Is this the only show that you're trying to get this to work or is this the only show it doesn't work for?

For TV shows I have found it it easier to just place a folder.jpg file in the TV show folder, e.g.

    \\server\videos\CurrentTV\Unforgettable\folder.jpg

And let Boxee use that; but I don't use NFO files for TV shows generally, either.

The one (test) case where I do, the thumbnail is on the web and that works fine.

Assuming the path is valid, the ".local" is the suspicion. FOr some reason my Boxee keeps changing back and forth from appending ".local" to the name. Right now I'm in the no ".local" servername "phase", so my files work. Sometimes it appears I need ".local" in whcih case all my files become inaccessible because the entire db is filled with afp://NAS/... Othertimes nothing works and I have to use SMB. It's infuriating.

Boxee only pays attention to the first <THUMB> so make sure the first one in the file is correct.

If you have a valid <id> tag, then that short circuits the use of the TVSHOW.NFO and it goes online for content. I comment out them this way

    <id-tvdb>82795</id-tvdb>

This way I retain the proper THETVDB.com ID.

    I tried:
removing the .local from the path
removing the id tag so it wasnt interfering with the thumb tag
changing the file name to folder.jpg (leaving the tvshow.nfo and removing it)
removing old thumb cache periodically between scans in case that's supposed to be done

nothing is updating the thumbnails from what theyve already been assigned (nothing or something from the internet)

If Boxee has already scanned a TV show, the only ways to get it to change the image (once you have changed the NFO or created a folder.jpg) in my experience are:

    1. Clear the media database and allow Boxee to rescan everything.
    2. Remove and re-add the source which contains that TV show and allow Boxee to rescan it.
    3. Manually remove every episode of that show from Boxee and then manually identify them all again (using the NFO option).

Normal re-scans won't pick up changes to the NFO file or the presence of folder.jpg files.
