When a YouTube video which is playing in fullscreen has the "skip ad" option you can select it by pressing the select button on the remote to bring up the player controls and then selecting the control which has a mouse cursor on it. The buttons on the remote will then control the mouse cursor so you can click the "skip ad" button. You can return to the standard controls by pressing the menu button on the remote.
Yes and what a terrible user experience that is.
oh my
i didn't even see that
i'll check it out
thx...........not user friendly, but at least its there
fricken youtube is worse than the major networks and their advertisements/commercials

I `v got the feeling that when i watch Youtube on the Boxee Box there are much more commercials then when i watch Youtube on my pc btw.
I just tripped on a good solution, do not use the Youtube app on the boxee box. go to the boxee browser and go to youtube, select Youtube XL, bookmark Youtube XL and use that, you have the mouse option the whole time and it is easier to read and use than the horrible boxee box youtube app.
you gotta love the way it just changes overnight...i also love the fact some of the commercials are 2+ mins with no options to press the skip now button
Go Canucks Go!
Just use the normal youtube page in the browser, XL and the app are terrible anyway.
