Yup, me too. 2 just sold on eBay, and I purchased 3xAD10s to replace them and gives me another on in my bedroom--they are running XBMC/Ubuntu. Not yet ready for my parents to do an apt-get, but it gives me what I was hoping Boxee would eventually.

I had two release day BBs, just so disappointed in bugs, and lack of new features. Then they release Cloudee?? I sure wish those development cycles went into the BB.

Avner is a bright guy and I hope he gets some serious $ out of this, but it won't be any more of mine or anyone that listens to me.

I use a couple of Roku2 boxes and several Xbox 360s along with my the Boxee Boxes. They all have something to offer. But I use all three of them. I could not use one to replace the use of my other two.

I believe this will probably be my first and last post on this forum. I'm sorry to say this Boxee device has really turned out to be a bust. The internet access was really never that great. The apps are less than mediocre and somewhat limited. You can barely watch any streamed foreign TV stations. The device keeps crashing if your do anything a little intensive. They haven't had a supported update release in a really long time. Safe to say Boxee has abandoned us with this device. About the only bright side to this unit is the way it catalogs and sorts my video files. Rather unfortunate as this did show much promise. Any suggestions for a solid alternative?

What exactly are your requirements; as "bad" as the Boxee Box might be, general consensus seems to be that there isn't anything (currently) that does online AND local content as well (let alone better) -- though there are some interesting items coming down the pipeline (see the off-topic section for info on other devices).

I have to say I'm with you here. The current Navi-x outage is the final straw for me.

I have been looking at the whole array of android-tv devices on ebay. I have been using my company-issued android tablet as a way to try out services and features. Navi-X is already there on android, XMBC and VLC player in beta and coming soon. Dozens of other apps on the Google Play market that give the functionality of what Boxee tries to do. I think this is the way to go now.

I have bought and awaiting delivery of one of the android 4.0 tv devices, the kind that looks like an oversized thumbdrive (1.5GHz CPU, 1G RAM, 4GB storage). I added on a mini bluetooth keyboard/touchpad device to use as a controller (and it has backlit keys!) all for under $95. It will also hide entirely behind the TV. Anybody interested in a review after I get it?

I am! Specially if you did manage to install and run XBMC on your Android device!

I have tried to run XBMC on my very-underpowered tablet, but it's a no go. The android-tv device I purchased is supposed to have 2x the RAM and more CPU power. Got my fingers crossed for that, but this is still early pre-release code so the hardware may have some incompatibility. Won't know until I try. The ebay delivery estimate is 1st week of August for the android-tv, and I will want to evaluate it for a couple of days at least. There is precious little real-world reviews on these boxes, so I will do my part for the community at large and share what I learn about it.

This is a pic of the device:

And this will be my bluetooth remote control. It resembles a blackberry, but the "screen" is a touchpad.
