    Default Live TV resolution

Is there any way to allow for Boxee to output native resolution for Live TV? I have some stations in 720p, while others are 1080i...and I'd rather let a rather expensive projector handle scaling than the Boxee. On a 96" screen...the LiveTV output looks pretty poor, and I suspect that it has to do with Boxee actively scaling the signal somehow.

No input on this? Am I missing something...does the Boxee support native resolution switching for LiveTV?

It does not support native resolution switching.

That said, you'd be surprised at the lack of difference between expensive scalers from yesteryear and commodity hardware from today. As an example, in all honesty, I can't say that the scaling from a DVDO Edge is any better/worse than the scaling from Boxee (or SageTV extenders for that matter). Tested with material ranging from SD to 720p.

Also, it's not going to ever be possible to properly hand over all the scaling and frame rate conversion to an external processor anyway because there's no support for the required intermediary formats on any product. For example, nothing supports 24fps at any resolution other than 1920x1080, so you're left whether to pass the original frame rate or resolution, both both.
