    Default Weird Boxee Box Issue

    Hello

While I was away my wife tried to use boxee box. When she turned on the tv and went to the input we use there was an error message. (she did not record the error but it seemed to be a connection issue - perhaps offline) She rebooted boxee box and when it came up again the language appeared to be in Arabic. She was able to select English but then it wanted her to login. She did not have that info and could not do so. Today I logged in and found the path settings to all drives were gone. What could have happened to make this extreme change where I had to login again and the paths gone? BTW, we always leave boxee box on and we did not have have any power interruption.

    Thanks

    C

I like to blame monsters and "The Chicken Sandwich" for this problem. While the chicken sandwich is undoubtedly tasty, it also can't be trusted.

Does it really matter what did it if everything stops working?? I'm too busy cussing up a storm to care!

Unless the memory on your unit is failing, you might be hard pressed to find an answer that actually addresses the issue... I suggest setting up your box again and turning it off when not in use.

People think it's okay to leave computers on all day, but I have to personally disagree with this. While it may be true this is not detrimental to a computer, it's better to ensure stability with a restart everytime at least if you choose to keep it powered on all day.

Try factory restoring your boxee box using a USB drive and you should be good again. If it keeps up, your device may be failing. Good luck!
