Default streaming issues appear to be Boxee's.....???

I wonder if anyone can explain why the same movie from an internet site works perfectly on a laptop - but on the Boxee it pauses every few seconds (buffering??) - even pausing it for 10 minutes makes little difference?? Same network etc. - so is this a Boxee issue??
I understand that Boxee is coming out with a new Boxee 2 - might I suggest that the company resolve its current issues before trying to market a newer product. I would never consider purchasing the next version of a product unless the original one was a good marketing story.............. which it currently is not!!!!!

Which movie and which internet site?

Is your Box wired or wireless? If the latter, try wired.

Boxee 2? Where did you read/hear about that?

I have tried several sites - solar movies, letmewatchthis etc. and about a dozen movies - all sites and movies consistently stuttered every few seconds - so I don't think it is a website or particular video issue.
I have a wireless network - and I don't feel like drilling and running wires downstairs - but question why I should even have to consider this as the Boxee was streaming movies fine two months ago..........so my theory is the "updated software" is responsible.....
Appreciated your prompt response - but would appreciate any other suggestions (other than hard wiring) you could provide. Should I revert to an older software version as this problem has been fairly recent.....????

    Are these movies via Navi-X?

If you think it's related to the firmware update, there's no harm in downgrading. See #9 in the SERIOUSLY! READ THIS FIRST post near the top of this forum section.

    Hi Darlicious,
No these movies are on internet streaming sites and I am using Boxee Web to attempt to watch them - as I explained these sites were working fine before. Have noticed that I have been having buffering issues with some Navi sites lately as well...........
