Add a framework that would allow the Boxee team to push add/remove internet sources without the need for installing a new release.
Similar to how the user can add or remove plugins and sources locally, add a server-side feature such that when a client logs in with the Boxee servers, the internet sources list is updated and if required, the user is asked to install new plugins.
For example, with the recent Hulu matter, Hulu could just be removed from the all clients Video->Internet sources menu upon the next login.
The idea is that Boxee is a socially-networked media aggregation application (duh): the social framework, source/plugin management framework, and gui are "static" and can be improved from release to release, but the sources and associated plugins are "dynamic" and can be added or dropped by the central Boxee team for the specific services they or their key partners support or by the end user for 3rd-party, prototype, or local sources.
Perhaps this is already the direction y'all are going, in which case, great!
