    Question Allow Boxee Beta ???

Is it a good idea to allow Boxee Beta updates or should I just stick to the official releases ?? I know sometimes beta releases can be a little sketchy at best.

Not having any problems with the current official release and I wouldn't want to start having any issues ...

    Thanks -

Up until now, allowing betas via the setting hasn't been function.

If you classify betas as "sketchy at best" and you don't want to start having any issues, why would you even consider using this option? By definition, betas have issues

I've used betas from lots of different software apps. Some without problems and some with many. Just wondering where Boxee might fit in ...

I stand by my last statement: by definition, betas have issues. Beta releases are for testing and reporting those issues. You won't know what they are until one is released and folks start posting about them.

In your case, turn it off and if/when you want a beta, you can a) turn it on or b) download it manually (which is the only way betas have been made available since the Box's release back in Nov. 2010).
