    Of course it does.
I've downgraded to 1.2.x myself. Not good, but better.

Does the 1.0.2x handle autosearch for subs?

Unfortunately I haven't found a way to block URL's in my router (dir-655). Seems like it only has a white list but no black list (how stupid is that??).

The version you mention gives me issues with distorted audio through the optical cable.

It's a REAL SHAME that folks have to go back and do so much research on each release to determine which one has the least amount of issues to "best' suit their use of the boxee. I'm just glad I found mine ! Although I did notice in the release I chose (same as OP) , SMB shares occasionally disconnect. So IMO there will always be something you will have to deal with.

How do you block URLs in the router? What area in the router settings is this usually found in? I'm going to look when I get home, just wondering if it is in a general area.

zorlan, each router is different and not all of them support blocking URLs.

I figured as much, mine does though...I checked. I am having trouble figuring out how to get it to work though. The router is an E4200. I'm sure I'll figure it out through trial and error. I tried last night and created the policy but it still downloaded the update...not sure what happened.

If you block "boxee.iso" it will not download the update.

There are two parts to the process, it checks for an update and then tries to download it. If you block the chkupd url it will not discover an update is available, if you block the boxee.iso it will not be able to download the update. I have a router running ddwrt and the boxee.iso stopped working for me at some point so I reverted to blocking the chkupd url.

BTW, i wouldn't worry to much about Boxee circumventing this because the update functionality is built into the firmware. To circumvent it they would likely have to break older firmwares ability to update. So it would like be a scheme that would only impact newer firmware.
