Default Petition for Intel to release updated SDK which is "active and awaiting approval"

I'm not the originating author of this petition or post but I thought it would be good for this issue to have it's own thread so people see it. All credit goes to innovativevsregressive for his post at http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.ph...304#post270304. Please take the time to sign this petition if you would like to see Netflix in the UK, 3tb+ HDD support, HD audio dropouts fixed, or any SDK25 related issues fixed.

And might I suggest, good topic for a sticky, blog post and home screen blurb, as the seventeen of us signed so far aren't going to sway many opinions.

Agreed and signed ... it's up to 32 now but a sticky would really help.

I signed as number 20, so we are at least getting some traction if it already up to 32 signatures!

I agree, the more publicity the better. Intel also need to be made aware of this although having lots of signatures first would be great.

Also just had a look at the promotion tools available via my account on the gopetition website and there is code available for a signature counter which links to the petition which is:

    <a href="http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/release-updated-sdk-for-the-intel-ce4100-chipset/sign.html"><img width="206" height="60" border="0" alt="GoPetition" title="Release updated SDK for the Intel CE4100 Chipset (powered by GoPetition)" src="http://www.gopetition.com/counters?pid=53004&t=1" /></a>

According to Boxee, they've had the SDK and have a fix already. So did Boxee flat out lie?

Avner stated in the fireside chat that they were waiting on Intel for the new SDK. It has been speculated that they were given a pre-release or beta SDK from Intel and were no longer able to reproduce HD audio dropouts on their development boxes. We can only assume that they are waiting on the official SDK to be certified before Intel will release it to them to use on production boxes...
