AppleTV (ATV) Help

Ok I managed to get Boxee installed on my ATV, now what.

How do I actually use it. Is there a manual somewhere? How do I get it to play media that is on my local HD and not on the ATV.

On the local HD, or streaming form another PC/Mac?

If you're streaming from a network source, you need to enable SMB sharing on it... Nest you need to add it as a source, in Settings > Media Sources > Network Sources.

how do I add an SMB shared folder from my mac? do i have to enter the IP?

the biggest bug for now is that the apple remote stops responding adter some minutes of standby...
that's irritating

oh and if somebody please replies - is there a way to change the colour scheme of boxee menus? unreadable LG 1080


PS i now disabled rhe screensaver on apple TV, will see..

I want to connect back to my mac.

I turned on SMB (I think), and I don't see anything on the network. It gives me an error.

Now I'm stuck.

I rebooted the ATV and now the remote does not work at all

Not sure where to go from here. I will leave it powered off for 10 min and see what happens.

I waited 10 min and rebooted my ATV and the remote still does not work. When I press a button the remote I see the led on the ATV flicker so the ATM is seeing the remote signal.

Any ideas on how to restore the ATV and start again?

Ok that problem is fixed. Went to the Apple site and found out how to pair the remote again.
