Default Signal issues (cable) with live tv dongle

I live in Metro Detroit and pay for Wide Open West internet.

About a month ago, WOW did some network maintenance which required me to rescan because none of the local channels were coming in. They were just black.

After the rescan, everything was fine.

Last night, around 6PM ET, all of the channels would go black for about a minute, then come back on for about a minute. When they would go black, sometimes the "weak/no signal" icon would appear for about a second.

I rescanned but that didn't work. The same thing was happening.

I decided to plug the cable directly into my TV and rescan on the TV.

All of the channels are working find with the cable connected directly to the TV.

    Anyone ever have this problem?

I am thinking something is wrong with the dongle.

    Hello from a fellow Michigander!

Are you able to test the dongle by installing it on a PC in your house? (there are instuctions posted on the forum on how to do this). That should be able to tell you if its a hardware dongle issue or not.

Yeah, I have a laptop that I could test it on.

I will try to find the link for instructions.
