Tivo Slide remote with Boxee on Linux?

Hi everyone:

After much research, I've decided I would really like the TiVo Slide (Qwerty) remote
for my Boxee setup. I see that some people have made attempts to get the TiVo Slide
remote working with LIRC.

What kind of functionality is there, so far?

If so, is it possible to get this combination to work with Boxee on Ubuntu?

It would be nice to have that remote working with my Linux Boxee (0.9.x) HTPC running Ubuntu 11.1 .

Well, after much looking I discovered that the nice folks at TwistedMelon
have a nice IR receiver with lots of features for a bargain price. The "Manta"
receiver is compatible with both the Apple remote and the TiVo remote I want.
It works great with LIRC in Linux, I've read.

The people at TwistedMelon were incredibly helpful and friendly with pre-sales info,
so I went ahead and bought it. It looks to be very high quality. Will try to hook
it up this weekend and report back if anyone is interested.
