    Unhappy Do I have a defective unit? Or...

    Problem:
    Currently I have two applications that require activation: Pandora & SugarDVD. Both ask me to activate every time I launch them. I've read about others having similar problems upon rebooting the box... yet in my case I only need to fully exit the application for it to ask me to activate(again) upon re-launch. I'm running the latest firmware.

    So far:
    I have reset the settings (which is what I read someone else did to fix the prob). And later I tried a Factory Reset + Reset Settings, then I updated via the Internet (the first time I had updated via USB). I re-activated both Pandora & SugarDVD...but I still have the same problem. I've had the Boxee Box for 3 days now...

    So...
    Do I have a defective unit? Or is this a known bug/limitation in the latest firmware

    It's a known issue for some users: http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-8528

    I don't know if it's related to defective hardware on the box or something else. If you can live without a Box for a bit, you could try exchanging it for another.

    I can actually still take it back to the store (30 days in-store warantee BestBuy), they do have another version. I have an older one H/W: A2 which I picked because I prefered the one that doesn't have the Netflix branded button...But they do have the more recent revision that does...I could try changing it for that then I guess unless anyone has some other suggestion ?

    This is not likely a hardware issue, though it's a bug that has been around for quite some time.

    You might want to try a factory reset. Short of that, you can exchange the unit for a Boxee Box, or some other product that has Pandora, if it's a critical feature for you.

    FWIW, I have not had any issues with Pandora on my unit.

    I see you also have a revision A2 and you don't have the problem... I did try the factory reset already. If its a bug its odd that I have it and you don't. But anyways I opened a ticket with support ...lets see...Ill give it a few days and if nothing I will go change the box.
