    Default Bluray iso issue

I just received my box today.
First thing I updated the firmware to the latests version, and atached a 1,5 tb hd usb. I've a large movie collection, the mkv's works beautifully. The problem was with my bluray iso's, none of them worked, the boxee shows a mesage, problem with the file or file corrupted.
I had a Cinematube player and those files used to work just fine, what could be the problem?

You'll need to post more info about your BD ISOs and network - I have quite a few Tbs of BD ISOs and I know many others do also, and most do not have any issues streaming them over a wired Gb network (although a Gb net. isn't necessary, it just allows for a larger 'pipe' if there's other devices/activity going on at the same time)

wired or wireless net. - what tool/app did you create your BD ISOs with, etc...

Edat - I mentioned your network, if the USB HDD is directly connected to your BBox then explain the details about it, how is it formatted, what make and model, and most likely it's self powered since it's a 1.5Tb model, correct?

The hdd is directly connected to my BBox. Its formated as ext3, and yes, it's sel powered. But I haven't any problems with other movies formats, such as mkv, actually I just watched a movie mkv in the same hdd. I have another media player, Cinematube, and the blu-ray iso is playing ok on that, so I believe that the iso's files are fine.

I don't have any issues with BD isos created with AnyDvd HD. What software / tool you have used to create that BD iso?? If you don't remember try MediaInfo which might help to get that information.

As suggested/asked twice... what tool/app did you use to create your BD ISOs

Also as suggested, the free MediaInfo could possibly point to the issue

And, if your not using AnyDVD HD to create your BD ISOs, I suggest you install the free 'trial' -- if it decrypts a couple of your original BD titles and you can play them back without issue, you have then figured out where your issue lies and you can decide from that point how to proceed

Actually I don't own those BD, I downloaded the entire folder that someone else ripped. I just burned those folder into a iso file, using k3b on linux. But in others media playes those files used to worked just fine.

Then you can try making an mkv of that iso using MakeMKV or similar tool . It could be an encrypted iso which BB doesn't support.

I have issues with several bluray ISO. Boxee is very picky about some bluray discs, in the end I had to rip just the movie and leave out all the extras.

Issues I had would be :-

    1) Move would play for a few minuets, then repeat its self.
    2) Movie would play one version for a few mins then play the alterative version
    3) Movie would stutter really bad.
    4) No bluray will play using its menu system.
    5) Ripping Just the movie with the sound track you need should work, full bluray rips have always given me problems.

OP might not be able to run anydvd, and I have problems with some BD which were done with Anydvd. It seems to be the extras and the menus that are the problem.
Boxee is a good product - stop bashing it.
If we all include our setup we could all help each other better

What were some of the titles? The only issues I've run into from a handful of BDs, were ones that require a player with full BD menu capability from the BD ISOs. Those typically have the in movie experience and play back the track with the picture in picture box. Boxee Box does have the capability to pick the video track and to play it, which does work on many of those. But you have to navigate to the file location with the browser to play back an individual video track. You can't access this feature when in your library. And then the handful of titles that don't work right when accessing the individual track, they will be played fine with a player that has full BD menu capability.

Since the Boxee Box allows you to play back individual video tracks and allows you to play the right one, it works better than many other BD lite players which don't have the option to pick the video track. SO there are far fewer BD ISO titles that won't play on the Boxee Box than other BD lite players. But thsi is also a reason I need to keep my C200 around, for the few titles that need full BD menu playback.
