Won't find my media

Just got my boxee box and set it all up.
But when i go to XMB it just says No local media for all my videos files, music files and pictures.

Have searched through the forum but nothing has helped me so far.
Any ideas about what im doing wrong?

It sounds like none of your computers have folders set up to be shared on your network.

I have.
Boxee Box find all the folders i have shared but it can't find the files inside it.

Then it's a permissions problem.

The quickest way to fix this is to see if using the trial version of Cisco's Network Magic product works for you.

Seemed to get it working with the Cisco program.
However with 10gb hd files it need to buffer about once every minute which is really annoying.

I would say my network should be fast enough to not need to buffer so often.

Or do i need even faster to get it smooth without to much buffering?

Is your Boxee connected wirelessly or wired?

What OS are your files stored on?

What router are you using?

(Your Internet speed doesn't impact playback performance of your own local files).

1. My boxee is connected wireless, and my computer is connected wired.
It's possible to connect the Boxee wired too if it makes the situation any better.

2. Stored in Windows 7 Ultimate

3. Belkin N1 router

Try wired connection to BB, it's always recommended to avoid any issues !!
