No need for a hard wired port on these boxes. Wireless provides more than enough bandwidth for all the available streaming services. I originally got the Roku2 XS becuase of the wired port but in the end I didn't use it because speeds were identical whether using wireless or connected to my wired network since my internet speed of 35/35 on FiOS has no problem being maxed out by any of my wireless devices.

    Default D-Link MovieNite Plus

The article mentions the DSM-312 will be getting Hulu Plus soon - I wonder if that is the normal meaning for soon or the Boxee "soon"?

    http://www.engadget.com/2012/06/11/d...ovienite-plus/

D-Link has refreshed its MovieNite Apple TV / Roku competitor to enable the media streamer to add a wide variety of apps -- including Hulu Plus (soon). The 1080p video pusher is nearly unmistakable for the original edition, which was available for as little as $48 online, except that it won't be exclusive to Walmart anymore -- oh, and this time out it'll set you back $80.

how come hulu plus will play direct with d-link, but not via boxee, on a d-link hardware?

Boxee must have really pissed hulu off before it went legit!

It probably didn't help them any when they kept bypassing the blocks Hulu put on them in the browser early on.

So they didn't update the DSM-310 with the new streaming services? You have to get the DSM-312 to get the new services? Or is the DSM-312 replacing the DSM-310 and the people who bought the DSM-310 will be upgraded to the new Apps?

And no 7.1 still?(VUDU has some 7.1 content) Just 5.1 according to the data sheet.

That would seem to be the case for not just Hulu, but the entire cable TV industry. It seems to me they hate Boxee and would like to see Boxee disappear - and are doing everything they can to help that along. All this, so they can continue raking customers for cable subscriptions without people having any available alternatives.
@tronbrain uses Boxee Box hardware rev A2, with firmware V1.5.0.23735 <- CLICK ME to learn how to up or downgrade firmware.
