renaming files

Does anyone know of a file renaming program that will rename files in such a way that Boxee will automatically see them? Some times my files end up being named in various ways to indicate the tv season and episode. Sometimes boxee sees them, other time it does not. it sucks. I do not want to have to rename each and every file. I want to do it in bulk.

Tried this but it did not help me.. still the same shitty layout in Boxee.
I really hate this peice of shit now. Have tried a couple of days now to get Sopranos Season 1 and 2 and Guys with kids in a nice order but it seems like a impossile mission to do this on Boxee Box.

What is wrong with this naming:

Please what the hell is wrong? I'm soon of a mental institution if i can't get this to work.

i got rid of my boxee. my names were:
Folder: The Sopranos
Sub folder: Season 1
in sub folder S01 E01

It's possible that the media info database has become corrupted -- if so, your best option is to re-scan from scratch:

1) Remove all your sources
2) Go to Settings>>System>>Advanced and select the Clear media information from the library
3) Restart the Boxee Box (turn it off, then turn it back on)
4) Re-add your sources, one source at a time, WAITING for each source to finish scanning/identifying before adding the next one

Give that a go and let us know if it helps or not.

Will do this ASAP because it seems very likely that it can be a corrupted database since it looks the same even after a file rename.

Why can't i see newly downloaded files? Same reason?

yes. You have to set it up to auto scan. When I had my boxee I had it set up to scan once a day. You can go manually add stuff if need be
