    Default Spotify

    Hey Boxee Team,

Just curios to the logic behind why using spotify on a boxee was deemed a premium service for a home device when its free for desktops/laptops/etc. I honestly can see why spotify moble can be constituted a premium service (you are on the go!) The confusion I have is why?

I mean I just as easily grab a cheap-o laptop off craigslist and plop an hdmi port then hook it up to my tv. This would serve a similar effect to get a free spotify service. However once I did this for eh $225? I would also negate the use of a boxee all together (with my droid or blackberry controlling said laptop via a 20 dollar bluetooth dongle) mind you a boxee cost 200 if you do the math by ploping down 50 extra in this way negates a boxee purchase all together.

Honestly I look at the whole premium that is a prose stiffing boxee to the point where its pretty useless. So umm your rebuttal?

AFAIK Boxee can't do anything about how a content provider want to let users access their content i.e. Free or Paid. All three music streaming apps available on BoxeeBox Spotify, Mog & Grooveshark needs a premium/paid account to access their app. All three has ad-supported free desktop/browser version as well.. You should be asking Spotify to make available their app access to free users on BoxeeBox.
