New to Boxee Box - need advice

Hi I recently purchased a Boxee Box, have it hooked up to my DSL without problems however I have a few questions:

I live in Canada and am mostly interested in streaming tv shows without commercials, as well as watching movies.

1) I am wondering what other users' favourite ways of streaming TV and movies?
i am presently using 1Channel and wondered if there was a better site as I run into constant popups? Now with Boxee's latest firmware upgrade I have to constantly change my settings which is a pain.

2) When is it best to stream as opposed to downloading? What do others choose and why?

3) Regarding favourites... I have noticed that after I delete some of my favourites some still reappear and when this happens, the new ones that i added will disappear for up to 30 minutes. THis happens sporadically Any advice will be appreciated.

4) I am not sure which apps to download and why? Which are the most used and why.

5) What other magic can I do with Boxee Box?

2. When an http or bittorrent stream takes longer to stream it than to download it.

3. This is a pretty well known issue. Favorites can be flakey since they appeared to be saved on Boxee servers and sometimes their servers can be non responsive. When logging into Boxee or configuring boxee related services, all of these settings are saved on Boxee servers and as such, may not work when boxee servers don't respond correctly. Nothing you can do about it.

4. All apps are different. Most stream content from just 1 source while content aggregators like Navi-X stream from numerous sources. Some apps are paid and some are free. Navi-X is free. People like Spotify quite a bit and for those with a premium account, Grooveshark is another winner.

5. Airplay is enabled in Boxee Box, thus you can integrate and access iTunes content on the box if your files are on your computer network at home, essentially allowing you to locally stream your stuff to the box instead of the manual file copying and playing from local disk regiment people hate. Also, you can get a USB dongle (Boxee live) for $50 that will allow you to CURRENTLY, pickup HD TV signals in your area and bring them in to watch on your TV. We shall see if the FCC starts encrypting HD TV OTA signals or not though.
