Trouble getting boxee to load after running update

I followed the directions on the video (from boxee website) and created a USB patchstick, then plugged it into the back of my apple tv. I got the penguin and the text and then saw boxee appear on my menu. I went to the update section and ran the update and when it was complete tried to get on boxee. I saw the apple on the screen then a flash but the screen stayed blank (just black)? I ran the update again, but still no luck. Does anyone know what the problem might be? I have an Apple TV 2.3 and I have the latest version of the ATV. Do I need to reset my apple tv and start over again? Does boxee need to be open and running on my laptop like itunes? I currently have it open...

HELP!?!?!

I'm new to installing Boxee on my Apple TV and am running into the same thing. Were you able to figure it out?

I used the steps in this article with out a problem. Get a name brand USB drive, I used a Kingston 1GB, format it on your Mac as HFS+, download the ATVUSB-Creator and install it on your newly formatted USB drive and follow the above guide.
