Default MKV with AC3 A42 audio - "Uknown" audio to boxee box, no audio

File plays fine on PC via VLC and MPC with audio. Load it up on the boxee and the audio is "Unknown" in the region dialog and no audio via HDMI or analog setting. Is there a way to get this thing to play or should I just convert it to play on my PS3?

Would be great if I can ever go 1 week without some ridiculous issue with this thing.

Sorry for typos in the subject, the audio is AC3 A52, not a42

Can you use MediaInfo to post full info about the file?

Does sound a little strange... I don't remember the last time I hit a file it couldn't play.

Can you download MediaInfo! from http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en and then drag and drop the media file into the window and select VIEW and TEXT from the programs top menu and copy and paste the info here?

That just means it's AC3, so it doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know. You *must* use MediaInfo as instructed, otherwise no one is going to be able to tell you anything more.

This sounds like the AC3 2-channel audio problem that's found in a few other files and just recently posted about in another thread. But it's a long-standing "issue."

I put it in quotes because at this time I don't know what causes the issue, since I have other 2 channel AC3 files that work perfectly fine and I've also made a number of test files which also play correctly.

You may be able to fix the issue by passing the audio through popcorn audio converter: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/PopCo...AudioConverter

Yes I have run into this issue with 2ch ac3 audio myself on a few files. Do as twisty said and you'll be golden.

Can you explain what exactly i'm supposed to do with this application? I've already watched the file in question on my PC, but if this does work it'd be good to know for future reference.
