I know this has been discussed at various forums, but I hacked my Apple TV with the ATVpatchstick and for two machines I did months ago this worked fine and I had Boxee and XBMC with no issues.

Now when I did another AppleTV hack, the Launcher shows Boxee but its not there because the patchstick creator is not finding it on the Boxee servers of course.

So I followed the instructions of downloading the boxee zip (both the beta and the normal version) and uploading them vis SFTP into the root Applications folder.

That works fine and I can see Boxee in the Nito Apps. However I can still not run the actual application from Launcher.

I believe I am missing one small step or not using the right file for Boxee. There is a normal zip and a dmg which I mounted and tried to install with Putty, but that failed as well.

Can someone please lend me any advice? I have done this a few times before on other machines quite easily and now I am doing it for a friend and I am getting frustrated. Hell I prefer XBMC, this is just annoying and a matter of principle now.
