Default Keys falling out of my remote?

Anyone else had this problem? I've had two keys just fall out of the remote - the Q and T? Remote was never dropped and I really don't use the keys much? Not sure how they are held in - looks like the keys are part of a rubber mat. These two keys just fell out almost cleanly. They won't go back in and stay unless I glue them - also can't find the T. Called tech support and although under warranty - they wont help me with this issue as they say I must have caused the damage - ne1 else ever have this issue? Pic attached.

    Thanks

I did call D-Link and the agent told me to pound sand - didn't want to see a picture - just kept reading from her manual that this was physical damage to the remote and not covered - I asked to talk to a supervisor and she just said "no" - I laughed and hung up.

If your BBox/remote is still under warranty, I would call D-Link back and hopefully you'll get a different rep who will help

As jasmeet_9sb mentioned, this the first time this type of problem has been mentioned here on the forum, as far as I can recall

Have you tried to 'snap/reseat' the keys back into the remote?

I did try to put the one key I have back in the remote - it won't snap in - just falls back out - keys are either glued in or part of a rubber mat. I don't think I can bear going through what i just went through with D-link support again. I suspect i will just get another agent in India reading from the manual. I emailed marcel@boxee.tv hoping to deal with this some other way other then the brutal d-link customer support number.

Good call - emailing Marcel would have been my next suggestion

And worse case... you might look into a Rii remote (If more keys fall out you want to consider replacing your BBox remote) - I believe they were running around $28/30 on Amazon the last time I looked -- a BBox remote is usually around $40

But keep in mind, if you consider the Rii, you will have to power up the BBox with the switch on the Box

    Edit/Addition... can you still type the Q & T letters, possibly with a pencil/pen
