Default Boxee Box will not power on.

I assume I am on the latest beta and use the device at best infrequently. I often turn the unit off after last play. However, I did not after the latest round about 3-5 days ago. I switched on my Sharp 46" Aquos to Boxee only to have a blank screen. I powered off the unit and back on with 480p displaying for 2 seconds and disappearing on the tv. There is no start-up sound or any other indicator of boot outside perhaps a quick green bar at bottom of tv when I shutoff the Boxee. Nothing comes up at all. Before I start playing with reflashing and other options, just wondering if this is indeed dead hardware or something else.

Disconnect all cables from the BBox for a couple minutes -- "sometimes" this procedure has brought the BBox back to life

Have you tried a different HDMI cable - a different HDMI port on your TV - and if possible a different TV/monitor

If none of these help, your mention of re-flashing and maybe a factory reset would be in order, "if" you can get the BBox to display something on your screen to do so

As a last resort, hopefully your BBox is still within the warranty period to request an RMA with D-Link -- if it's a little past the warranty period, you might want to email Marcel and ask if he can help in any way - marcel At boxee d0t tv

I tried another caable and other ports on tv and still no effect. I can't get the unit to recognize the USB or do anything re. reflash. It seems pretty dead outside the front panel illuminating. I have the unit plugged into a APC 1300, so I doubt surge.

I'll have to dig through the box of receipts and see how old it is. (I don't recall ..Think I am under a year but also have Visa protection) This is disappointing to say the least as I am a very infrequent user.

Again, appreciate the quick replies here as I can add to any ticket for RMA if needed.

That's unfortunate - hopefully you're still 'in warranty' - but at least you have VISA to back you up if needed
