Thread: Request: Option to disable Netflix Button

Default Request: Option to disable Netflix Button

Either an option to disable the Netflix button, or change it so that if you press the Netflix button while in a video it doesn't automattically exit the video you are playing.

Very often I am watching a video off of my External HD when I accidentally press the Netflix button. Very annoyingly, it automatically exits the video playing without even asking if I want to exit. The exit button even asks you if you want to leave the current video, it's only logical the Netflix button do the same thing.

I know the Netflix button was supposed to be a neat implementation to the Boxee Box, but it's become more of an annoyance than it is useful. Some of us don't even use Netflix on our Boxee Box's, which is why it might be nice to have an option to disable it altogether.

You'd pleased to know that the option is already there, if you're using latest firmware 1.5 ,the option to disable or play/pause the NF button can be found under Settings > General > Advanced > Top remote button behaviour

That is good to know. Thanks for the quick reply. I tried searching for the option, must've overlooked it.

Either way, you guys should think about making it so it doesn't automatically leave the current video, at least not without confirming.
