New to Boxee need help pls!

Just got the boxee today, I can see the Boxee media player (on the boxee), but when I say choose file called "wheres my pants" I get no media found. I can also see all the media files on the SMB, but there it wants a windows password, which a) I have never used and, B) never want to start using one.

I have 1 Media hard drive split into 3 partitions 2 of these both 886 GB I use for media I want to stream 1 is TV the 2nd is Movies.

I'm using win 7 64
wireless connection
Boxee updated to latest software.

Before this I streamed via the PS3/and Xbox.

Any help would be great.

Can you try just clicking OK when it prompts your for username password or enter just the username and leave password empty & press OK .

To determine your user name open the start menu, type "user account" in the search field, and hit Enter: Windows 7 will open the Control Panel, with your current username automatically selected, and its user profile (administrator, standard user, guest account).

No offense to the boxee fans but I would look for a different program such as Plex or XBMC as Boxee for PC is as dead as OS2.

don't see the point of this post, does not answer anything I asked just pushes you own agenda, why do you always get people who don't care what you ask just so long as they got to spam there own shit.

Yup I tried that no joy, I can now get it to see al my movies but it will not see any of the TV programs, it will see the files but when I open it , get message no media, even tho its on the same HD as the movies just a different partition.

All in all not impressed with the Boxee at all, with movies they take about 3 minuets to load each time.

On the Xbox or/and PS3 they almost immediately maybe at times a 20/30 second delay.
