I believe the GTTV episodes in the Gametrailers app opens a browser window that uses Flash. At least that is the case on the Boxee Box. I still haven't gotten around to trying this on the PC Boxee software to see if that message is just informational or if there is actually a problem with Flash. Honestly, I've given up on PC Boxee since the devs already did.
    Boxee Box firmware: Latest
PC to Boxee Box connection: SMB over gigabit wired Ethernet.
Boxee Box buffers on BR MKVs and ISOs.
Streaming BR MKVs and ISO rips with full menus to Dune with no issues.
Streaming BR MKVs and ISO rips to two HTPCs using XBMC with no issues
PC Storing Media: Vista Home 64 bit, dual core (2.5GHz), 4GB RAM
Storage for media: 4 external WD Elements drives. 4 Hitachi 3TB drives
Router: NetGear WNR3500L-100NAS Wireless-N Gigabit Router

My PC Boxee broke over the weekend too, same error:
    http://forums.boxee.tv/attachment.ph...3&d=1332577928

Guess this is the beginning of the end since the PC version is no longer being supported. While I can likely roll back to an older Flash, many newer vids require the latest version to play. R.I.P. Boxee...you'll be missed.

Have you verified that Flash video playback in Boxee is actually BROKEN?

I really think the error message is erroneous and that it's quite possible Flash videos work just fine!

Flash playback is ok, I have been through multiple apps and played a number of videos and am not having any worse or better results than I ever did before the error page started showing up @ startup, I believe that this is a case where there is a line of code somewhere that says pop this up if detected flash version "is < 10.x" when it should say "is not 10.x or greater". I do not wish to downgrade my flash to resolve this, we have the source, there must be a way to bypass this error. This is not an area of expertise of mine but I will see if I can spot anything obvious.

In the meantime I now have to keep my mouse ready to go just to give boxee focus at startup before I can use my remote, not a huge deal but definitely an inconvenience

Well I'm having the same issue and it's not just s nuisance message, no web content plays. Results in "browser closed unexpectedly"

My PC version 0.9 worked flawless. Upgraded to 1.5 and received the flash error during installation. I get the error message everytime I boot up boxee and nothing plays. Reinstalled 0.9 and still get the error and nothing plays. Re-installed 1.5 with same install error and bootup error and still no web content plays.

I had a hard time making firefox my default browser so I uninstalled and reinstalled. Updated the flash plugin. Also installed the flash for other browsers. Still nothing plays.

What to do? I've looked for a replacement for boxee but I love the web/social integration and can't find that anywhere else. XBMC gives me a headache, never can figure out how to navigate. Boxee was perfect and I'd like to continue to use it. If they've releases the source code, is anyone going to take over it's development?

    Thanks for your help.

Well, window control is definitely wonky but I was able to play the episode "The Countdown Reflection" of The Big Bang theory via Shows>>Show Library>>The Big Bang Theory without any kind of crash.

I was able to start up YouTube as well but it didn't actually do anything.

The Boxee Browser started up and took be to a Bing page. I had one book mark (www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/bigscreen) and that worked fine.

I was able to go to Shows>>Show Library>>Channels>>CWTV>>Nikita and play the most recent video without any issue (it even went to full screen automatically). Similar for the latest episode of Chuck as well.

(However, nothing from xfinity will actually start up, I just get the "starting playback" message but playback never actually starts).

So. I'd have to say that your Boxee/Flash install is borked some how.

Which version of Windows are you running? And are you running Boxee in Window'd or Full Screen mode (or both?)

darci - its nice that you are valiantly trying to offer support for this now defunct product.

i also have this issue with my 0.9 install (windows7-32, boxee full screen, latest flash (with autoupdate now set) but i just figured this crap is bound to start happening with such an old boxee build so "tough titties" for me.

Really can't help with v0.9; and while there are probably some issues with v1.5, Flash for the most part does appear to work.
