Oddly, I believe I have the latest version of Flash installed on my W7 x64 and Boxee v1.5 starts up just fine for me... so I'm not sure what's going on...

Yeah, it's pretty weird. It starts up but it just shows that message indicating Flash isn't installed. I never got a chance to try out a specific video to see if Flash is actually working and I really don't want to mess with uninstalling Flash right now. I've got all these other programs working right and since Windows uninstall doesn't clearly label which item is Flash for other browsers I'm just going to leave it as is. If I do run Boxee and try a video that I know uses Flash in a browser and it doesn't work then I will check either Plex or XBMC for a corresponding app. If I can't find it then I might be assed to try to fix this.

I have the same problem since installing 1.5. I have tried using the older Flash version but it doesn't help.

I can't see anything from Vimeo for example. Help! It's very annoying!

Going back to Flash version 9 lets me watch Vimeo, but not Svt play (Swedish television) which needs a newer version... which doesn't work with Boxee for me...

dammit Boxee, fix this please. We should not have to install old versions of flash to make Boxee work

Boxee is no longer supporting the desktop version so there won't be any fixes released.

Are there flash videos that actually don't play because of this?

I'm wondering if it's just a warning from Boxee during start up that indicates you have a newer version of Flash installed than what it's expecting so it says you need to install Flash.

What would be a flash-requiring video with which to test this?
