So in a browser, go here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
    Select your operating system
Select Flash Player 11 for Other Browsers
(Uncheck "Yes, install McAfee Security Scan Plus - optional (0.98 MB)")
    Then click on download
Restart Boxee and you should be fine

Darci, I tried what you suggested and installed Flash Player 11 for Other Browsers on my new Windows 7 HTPC that I installed Boxee 1.5 on and I am still getting the same error message when I start Boxee. Do I need to install the Flash Player 11 for Other Browsers as an admin or something because it still doesn't seem to be working even after rebooting the PC or restarting the Boxee application.

my boxee config (0.9 on windows 7) has been working fine forever.

I turned my pc on today and a flash update was available, which i dutifully installed.

i then opened boxee which before logging in, told me that i needed flash to view some online content!

It seems today's flash update (or this weeks in any case) breaks flash compatibiliy with boxee (0.9)..... install the flash update at your peril!!

I just installed Boxee so I haven't tried any specific videos yet but I know on the Boxee Box trying to play the GTTV episodes wouldn't work due to outdated flash. I will try these videos on Boxee PC when I get home tonight. I just get that error message every time I log into Boxee which is annoying since I have installed flash for other browsers twice already.

At first the Gametrailers videos were all screwed up but once I turned off allow hardware acceleration, they played fine except for not being widescreen which is something else I have to look into. But since I also installed Plex I think I might just run my apps from there instead since that software is still being supported. I think the only app I didn't find in Plex was NaviX but I believe that is available in XBMC and I really only use it on the Boxee Box in my bedroom.

Here is an option. First uninstall the current flash player.

    Then go to:

    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/...-versions.html

and scroll down to the "Older Archived" select Flash Player 10.1 (81.7 MB). Download, extract and install. And that should install the previous version that works well with boxee. Hope that helps.

I'll try this when I get home, it's worth a shot. Is this for Boxee 1.5 or just for 0.9. Either way it can't hurt anything I guess since right now I'm just using Boxee on the PC to screw around with and just because I could integrate it into WMC. Once I start using my HTPC more actively, I'll probably be sticking to XBMC, Hulu Desktop, and Plex in addition to live TV and DVR stuff with WMC.
