Thread: black screen

    Default black screen

    Great today I went to turn on the Boxee Box and screen is just black nothing else. Tried changing HDMI to a different port and still the same even tried factory reset and nothing dont even get into the boxee screen? Any idea what would be going on with it?
    Odd thing is the logo on the Boxee lights up just nothing shows on the tv screen

    With the BB turned on and the TV on the BB input try turning the TV off and on (if you haven't all ready).

    My TV occasionally has a handshake issue with the BB when I try to go back to the input it's on and the BB has been in Sleep mode. I find this fixes it.

    Guess the Boxee is dead and of course now its well over warranty ill have to warn my friend who I had just suggested this to. Wife wont be too pleased for the $200 is spent on this now paperweight.

    Well that is odd my co-worker who also has the Boxee Box has had the same thing happen to him. Symbol on the boxee box illuminates but nothing shows on the tv. Has boxee bricked our box's with there firmware?
    Luckily my Acer Revo is on my main tv with XBMC and still going strong with lots of use but Boxee Box dead after limited use on our bedroom tv hmm shouldve bought a second revo instead of Boxee. Well hope there is someway to fix this although DLInk isnt goin to help anyhow as the 1 yr warranty is over.

    Anyone else have any suggestions? Surprised when my coworker told me same thing happened to him since last update but no response from Boxee team on this issue isnt good at all. Thank you for the community member for trying to help but nothing from Boxee team...
