Enhanced Parental Control - Detailed Selection of

I am really enjoying the BoxeeBox. I think it's a great product.

One feature I would like added under parental controls is to allow the specific selection of shows, channels and Apps which can be displayed on the Boxee on-screen menus. The current control of restricting "Adult Content" is too broad and, in my case, not stringent enough.

In addition, there is a flaw in the menu system whereby I can currently select which channels will be scanned and have their TV shows displayed under ALL SHOWS. So, if for instance, I did not want shows from SPIKE TV to appear on the list, I would deselect SPIKE TV. OK, that works. However, if I were to select SHOWS | CHANNELS | SPIKE TV, then all the shows are available for viewing.

If Boxee were to allow the account owner (administrator) to specify exactly which shows and Apps could be accessed on their system, I would enjoy it a whole lot more.

Perhaps this could be integrated into the web sign-on which would allow more permanent settings, account specific.

I would also like this to apply to local media as well. If imdb says its PG-13 I would like a password, etc.

i agree. owners with kids need more restrictions. boxee, please add more restriction capability
