    Default No HD in Netflix

    Hi,

    I cant seem to get HD streaming from Netflix. I was wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that my first month is free (ie. no HD during the trial). I tried playing several movies that say "HD" next to the flick but when I stream it - no HD. I have a 10/1Mbit cable service. I can get HD when I stream from TV websites, youtube but not Netflix. Is there anything I need to do ??

    P.S. I live in Canada so hopefully this is not a no HD for Canuck issue

    It's my understanding that NF on Boxee is 720P HD (it was when I had the stream package with Netflix)....not full 1080P HD. That is reserved for the RoKu and I think the WII?? It's due to an exclusive HD licensing deal with NF.

    Check your netflix settings because there is a "quality" setting for those who have usage caps.

    You also may want check your account at netflix.com and make sure your stream quality is set to high, for Canandians it's not by default.

    Ahh, thanks. I changed my settings in Netflix via web and now I can get HD. It was set to the lowest by default.

    Is it true that Netflix on the Boxee is only 720p? And I think you're thinking of the PS3, not the WII, the WII's max resolution is 480p. The new Apple TV also supports 1080p for Netflix
