Big picture and some fantastic questions

Hi Boxee project and community,

I'm quite new with Boxee. Actually I've only spend 3 hours using/reading/searching. I've got some requests and feedback.

First of all - I downloaded Boxee and I immediatly love it. So slick and cool.. I really hope I'm "home" with this product. I've investigated loads similar products - and actually until today I still only use FrontRow (!!).


Big picture?
Being a newcomer I really need the big picture and the feature list. What are the cool stuff and what are the product limits. And where's the product heading.

This is probably all to be found in the various forum threads but I really think it's needed up front.

If it's there .. please throw me a link or two.


Questions bout Boxee product

1. Is it possible to rip DVD's with Boxee or a Boxee App/plugin?
2. Does xbmc plugins work with Boxee?
3. Does Boxee support DDT or SAT (encoded) via Elgato Eye TV or the likes?
4. Air Tunes support ?

My setup: Mac Mini 2GHz, Netgear (readynas), 3 airtunes speakersets, ipod touch (for remote controlling), a flatscreen TV hdready, ordinary DDT and a satbox.

You should keep posted to our blog as we are still in alpha mode..

1. No it is not possible ..
2. No not all plugins will work with boxee you may need to tweek them some..
