Default Always Innovating HDMI Andriod Dongle

    What gives?

How can a small device like this....

be so much more powerful, useful and quick than the boxee box.

I think i backed the wrong horse with my boxee box.

The Always Innovating remote even has motion sensing to play games.

    Unbelievable.

Check out that vid at the bottom of the article. Boxee, you should be ashamed of your progress since launch.

    see this article...

based on Vanilla sandwich (i.e. apps a-plenty!!!)

It's capable of streaming content at 1080p, and accessing Hulu, Netflix or Amazon's video store shouldn't cause a fuss. We're told it'll start at $79

Cortex-A9, between 256MB and 1GB of RAM, inbuilt WiFi / Bluetooth, an NFC module and even an accelerometer

Like all other Always Innovating products, the HDMI Dongle is fully Open Source.

    Damn, boxee. You pwned.

The company is based in San Francisco, California

Seems like a more logical place for a tech firm than straddled between NYC and Tel Aviv (which is either portugal or in the atlantic )

    other cool points to note....

Because "HDMI is to TV what USB is to PC", Always Innovating has designed a disruptive device that will turn on your TV!

    Genius!!

    Boxee is DONE...

Can't wait to see these new devices hit the market.
Boxee will just be a bad memory and wasted money.

Of course they 'could' salvage the device..but since they can't code their way out of a paper bag, I don't see that happening.

This is pretty old news and I highly doubt we will see this hit the market anytime soon. I for one will buy one as soon as it hits especially at that price point, but i doubt we will see it hit the market before Q4 of this year if at all. Until then, I will continue to enjoy my Boxee Box.
