    Default Boxee apps future

I do no predict a bright future for boxee and it's closed system, regarding apps. Python was essentially killed, and the html5 stuff.. well I must admit I haven't even taken a look.

Here's what the future looks like:

There will be massive surge of these kinds of devices. You get gaming and everything with them. And look at the $35 raspberry pi, it already runs xbmc.

As a media player.. well you can take a look at the boxee box section for all the weird problems people have. Some would probably argue there are better and cheaper media players on the market.

I don't think I'll bother to continue working with my python app on boxee platform. Thanks for the good times (a bit over a year with the box), it's been fun but now it's time to look forward!

Well, as long as you keep the TVkaista app up and running in one form or another...

No worries, the app isn't going anywhere, I just won't be making any new features to it...

Well, working fine as it is... one of the most stable and useful apps on the Box (despite the somewhat spartan UI, but who cares as long as it works).

I got tired of boxee not having hulu plus so I recently bought a roku. The channel(app) system is awesome. Tons of private channels you can find online as well. It's so much easier than trying to find boxee repositories and manually entering them and then half of the apps don't work.
I think the boxee app system needs an overhaul big time.
