How 'pretty' is the plex UI on the extenders ??
It depends on the extender and no, it's not the same on all devices. On the Roku, it's very Roku like

How about iPlayer 4oD etc UK TV sites.. Can they be built into plex under the UI ??
No idea. I'm not a Plex plug-in developer and I don't use it for online streaming much.

Oh that's the very best part:

-- I use the Plex client on multiple PCs, multiple iOS devices and one Roku; but I only have to scan my local files once for everything to show up everywhere.
-- I use it to stream remotely.
-- I can start a show on one device and pick up where I left off on another (locally or remotely)
-- I have custom scanners that identify my local recordings from SageTv

Those are a few of the big reasons I like Plex.

However, if you don't need or want those things, then Plex is going to seem pretty "meh" to you

So as far as the app on the boxee box would be concerned, you would have better metadata (or at least the same metadata you use on plex)? And that you could continue to watch something that you had left off on from another plex client. Is that about all the benefits of a plex app on the boxee box?

I agree with you that needing only to scan once is huge. I can say this though, on my HTPC I use a SSD that only has 32GB and only about 12 free and plex used about 7GB of that when scrapping all my data...that didn't make me happy

Yeah, but you can fix that, you know

Have to admit, hearing that Plex is going to be on the OUYA was enough for me to plunk over $99.00 on it during the last few minutes Now I'll forget about it until comes along sometime next year (I'm guessing mid- to late April).

Better metadata is huge (at least for me) and so yes, that about sums it. And if xmcnuggetx gives it away for free and since I'm already using Plex, why not?

By just removing the plex folder and having it start over again? Or is there a setting to limit the size or it?

For you folks with Samsung devices (tv, blu-ray players), a Plex App is available on certain models, which I noticed today on one of my tv's. So yeah, kinda cool...

Darci has made me a believer in Plex...I'm loving me some Plex atm...the scrapper is the best I have seen and I only need my roku now!!

--well and the plex server of course which I have running on a ITX HTPC build with a G640 CPU @ 2.8 Ghz dual core and it works wonderfully, I couldn't be happier with my media.
