Default Duplicate movies from external drive on every restart

I just bought a 1TB SATA drive and am using this in a USB SATA Dock connected to my laptop (drive letter I)
I added a folder from this disk as source in Boxee.
I put some DivX and MPEG video files in there, and Boxee indexed them correctly as expected.
I then restarted Boxee and found that when I selected one of the movies under Movies it showed two instances of the same movie with exactly the same file name and location.
Every time I restart Boxee a new instance of each of the movies appears.
    What could the problem be?

are the movies stacked(cd1,cd2 etc) ? How many duplications do you have?

None of them are stacked, and at the last count I have 6 duplicates of each movie. It seems like Boxee is not correctly identified that the file has already been indexed. Shouldn't it be checking that a movie does not already exist in the index with that exact same file path and name?

I seem to have it fixed for now.
Boxee's media database appeared to have somehow become corrupted.
When I originally added the folders on my external hard drive I accidentally added them as manual sources without a trailing slash in the path ("J:\Movies" instead of "J:\Movies\" - Boxee seems to include the trailing slash when adding a local source).
Could this missing slash have confused Boxee and caused the corrupted database or is that a red herring?
I had tried Settings > General Erase Library several times and it just deleted the thumbnails for the movies but not the references to the movies themselves.
It wasn't until I found Boxee's media database file and deleted it manually that everything was back to normal.
Now, several restarts later, there are no duplicates at all but I will continue to monitor it in case it happens again.

Where is this file located? Same problem but I see three sometimes four duplicates of the same file...

    Thanks!

The file is located at ~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/Database/

Just Go On Run And Paste This Line in it. Then You Can in The Database of Boxee... Now Find Out Duplicate File And Remove it.....

The file is located at ~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/Database/

    Default Windows-Alpha: Library duplicates

I too have duplicate entries for videos (TV Shows). There are as many as 6 copies of the same file, reported with the same path on the same network volume (SMB workgroup share). I thought they might be showing up because there are copies of some of the same files on different sources, ex., (\\media1\videos\tv\showname\) and (\\media2\tv\showname\) -- a result of my neighbor and I sharing access to our media servers.

Last night, after reading this thread, I checked for duplicate database files in (if I get the path right from memory)
    c:\Documents and Settings\me\Application Data\BOXEE\UserData\Database

... but find only one database file, along side the views and some other file -- all with unique, non-duplicate names.

Is there an approach to rebuilding the database without trashing all the IMdB data and CDDB data that will provide resolution to this problem?
